Collecting and researching in the Treasure House of the Palatinate
The Golden Hat of Schifferstadt, the burial crowns of the Salian kings and emperors, paintings by Anselm Feuerbach, a meteorite from outer space and a corona crochet virus. The collection of the "Treasure House of the Palatinate" depicts the history of a region from prehistory to the present day. Researching and visualising it is our passion. Discover our work.

About the collections
Whether 212 barrel bolts, 606 dolls, 1110 postcards or 3484 axe blades: the Historical Museum of the Palatinate preserves around 1,000,000 objects in its historically grown collection.
The collection is divided into the two main areas of "Archaeology" and "Cultural History". The curators are each responsible for several areas of the collection. They record and research the collection, publicise their work in exhibitions and publications and are responsible for the preservation and future development of the collection.
