Visit us with your school or kindergarden

Whether as a supplement for lessons or as a first visit to the museum: our exhibitions convey historical topics in a playful way. Guided tours for all age groups and school types as well as handouts for teachers round off the programme.

Guided tours

We offer themed tours of our current and upcoming exhibitions for all school classes and age groups. If you have any questions, our exhibition office will be happy to help.

Compact tour: Together with a guide, you will explore the exhibition during a 60-minute tour.

Interactive tour: In addition to the guided tour, the programme includes hands-on stations in the exhibition. This tour is therefore particularly suitable for school classes and day-care centre groups.

Groups without a guided tour

Of course, you and your class are also welcome without a guided tour. However, please register with your group even if you have not booked a guided tour. This makes it easier for us to plan, especially on busy days. You can simply register by sending an e-mail to the exhibition office.

Journey

By public transport

The museum is easily accessible and climate-friendly by public transport. Bus 561 runs from Speyer main station / station forecourt to our stop "Domplatz/Speyer". Click here for timetable information for local public transport.


By coach

Access to the museum is signposted on all main roads in the vicinity of Speyer. Coaches can park in a specially designated area at the nearby Festplatz (P7, Geibstraße 1). Coaches pay a fee of €5 per hour or a daily flat rate of €20. It is only a few minutes' walk from the fairground to the museum entrance.

The Festplatz is occasionally used as an event site, so please check the current situation and possible parking alternatives, for example on the website of the city of Speyer, before you arrive .
