Tag des offenen Denkmals 2026
Together with the Rhineland-Palatinate Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage, the State Archaeology Department, Speyer branch, we invite you to our collection archive at the Alte Baumwollspinnerei on Tag des offenen Denkmals.
Our programme:
All day: Hands-on activity station run by the Junges Museum
All day: Curator-led tours of our archaeological storage facilities and the ‘Stone Store’ (duration: approx. 30 to 45 minutes each)
From 11 am to 2 pm: Archaeological demonstration workshop
No booking is required for the guided tours.
Please note that access to the building is not wheelchair-accessible.
Travelling by car:
There are no on-site parking facilities for cars. The nearest car park is the multi-storey car park at Speyer Central Station (approx. a 10-minute walk from our collection archive).
Travelling by bus and train:
The collection archive is about a 10-minute walk from Speyer Central Station.
Bus routes 562 and 564 stop in the immediate vicinity of our collection centre (at the ‘Baumwollspinnerei’ stop).
