The Historical Society of the Palatinate

The Historical Society of the Palatinate is the founder of the Historical Museum of the Palatinate and still plays a special role in the foundation as a supporting organisation. Almost 3,000 members are actively involved in researching and communicating the history and culture of the Palatinate. The association significantly expands the museum collection through purchases and donations. Association members have free admission to the museum. You can support the work of the museum and the association by becoming a member.

2023 konnte der Historische Verein der Pfalz drei bedeutende Gemälde aus dem Nachlass von Ike und Berthold Roland erwerben.

Commendatore Joachim Burmeister überließ 2022 dem Historischen Verein der Pfalz und dem Historischen Museum der Pfalz seine umfangreiche Judaica-Sammlung.

Volunteering at the Historical Museum of the Palatinate

Volunteers are involved in the collection work and make a significant contribution to recording and visualising the collection. Would you like to volunteer? Feel free to contact us! No previous knowledge is necessary, just an enthusiasm for culture and history. The volunteer group meets regularly every Thursday at the Collection Centre.
