In its chequered history, the cathedral has been robbed of its valuable furnishings several times. Under the expert guidance of specially qualified cathedral guides, you will discover the traces of ancient splendour and magnificence in this guided tour format. On the one hand, you will gain an insight into the outstanding historical, art-historical and spiritual significance of the Romanesque cathedral. Secondly, you will be guided through the "Cross and Crown" exhibition in the Historical Museum of the Palatinate. The focus here is on finds from the tombs of the Salian emperors, as well as precious liturgical implements and vestments.

The tour can be booked from Tuesdays to Saturdays between 9 am and 4 pm and on Sundays between 12 pm and 4 pm (start of tour).
