Play and Discover with the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo’s Child.
The protagonists of the beloved children’s book “The Gruffalo” will be back for a visit at the Historical Museum of the Palatinate from December 11, 2022 to June 18, 2023. Museum visitors of all ages can relive the picture book story in the exhibition: They will meet the ponderous Gruffalo monster with the poisonous wart at the end of his nose and prickles all over his back, the little clever mouse and the other forest animals. The Gruffalo’s child will be there again too!
Numerous interactive stations will encourage creativity and interaction. Along with a discovery obstacle course requiring daring and skill and the popular Gruffalo kitchen, there will be shadow puppets, animal masks for dress-up, audio stations and a mysterious lair. Visitors will additionally be able to watch film adaptations of picture books, such as “Zog and the Flying Doctors” in the little exhibition theater on select dates. Games about animals and plants are an invitation to discovery.
