Robin Hood

A Family Exhibition from the Young Person’s Museum of Speyer

From the 12th of November 2017 to the 3rd of June 2018

Robin Hood – the name brings with it unmatched associations with courage, togetherness and the hope that good will indeed prevail in the end. Alongside his comrades Little John, Friar Tuck and Will Scarlet, Robin Hood is indefatigable in his quest for justice. Good-humoured and resourceful, he and his companions succeed time and again in divesting the rapacious rich of their money, and sharing the spoils with the poor and needy. In doing so, these daring adventurers display masterful skill with bows and arrows, aptitude at the art of disguise, and benefit from the inaccessibility of their hideout deep in Sherwood Forest.

This family exhibition invites the young and those who remain young at heart into the world of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Presented in a style appropriate for children, interactive stations help explain everyday life in the Middle Ages, life in the forest and the fascinating art of archery. A special focus is placed on social learning. Numerous play stations address the question of what values are important in life and what constitutes a healthy community.

Please be aware that the exhibition does not contain any English translations and is available solely in German.
